⁣Sisters Myra and Ellie have reached their breaking point with their dismal, stagnant lives. After their stepfather Charley (who the title "Bonnie" references as being deceased) attempts to assault Myra, Ellie shoots him with a shotgun, and the two escape to their rich uncle's mansion in El Paso. From that moment, they begin to experience a shift in their personalities and embrace a more adventurous lifestyle.
